Biografi/ Biography :
Dr Isa Naina Mohamed is an Associate Professor in the Medical Faculty, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He graduated with distinction in Medicine from UKM in 2003 and joined UKM as a medical lecturer in 2005. He completed his Masters in Clinical Pharmacology and doctoral studies in Medicine and Therapeutics at the University of Aberdeen in 2006 and 2011 respectively. Upon returned to Malaysia and UKM, he was invited to join the UKM Bone Metabolism Research team to add on epidemiology and human research expertise to the team, in which he is an active member till today. Within a short 10 years, Isa was awarded few awards (Outstanding Service award, UKM Outstanding Educator award, UKM Most Promising Academician and UKM Young Researcher award), published approximately 100 research paper publications with a cumulative impact factor above 200, achieved an h-index of 20, 2 pending patents and lead many high impact researches with a cumulative research grant value of 2 million ringgit as principal investigator. Isa’s research expertise encompass clinical pharmacology, pharmacovigilance, herbal product development, addiction, bone health and wound healing. He is the current head of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety Unit, Antimicrobial Stewardship committee member of Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital and head of UKM Addiction and Recovery Research Group.
