Memulakan kerjaya saya dalam sains nuklear pada tahun 2006, saya sangat komited dalam bidang tersebut. Pada tahun 2022, saya dilantik untuk memegang jawatan sebagai Ketua Pusat Penyelidikan Teknologi Nuklear di Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, menandakan satu peristiwa penting dalam perjalanan profesional saya. Kerja saya merangkumi spektrum luas kepentingan penyelidikan yang merangkumi daripada asas teori fenomena nuklear kepada aplikasi praktikal dalam perlindungan alam sekitar dan kesihatan awam. Kerja saya merangkumi kajian terperinci analisis pengaktifan neutron, menekankan ketepatan kaedah k0 dan k1, dan teknologi reaktor, dengan tumpuan pada mengoptimumkan parameter fluks neutron.
Skop penyelidikan saya juga mendalam ke dalam sains alam sekitar, di mana saya menilai kesan impak radiologi. Ini termasuk menangani cabaran yang ditimbulkan oleh enap cemar minyak, abu terbang, bahan radioaktif tabii (NORM), dan NORM yang dipertingkatkan secara teknologi (TENORM), dengan tujuan meminimumkan kesan dalam alam sekitar. Di samping itu, kajian saya mengenai sisa toksik dan berbahaya menggariskan komitmen untuk mengurangkan pencemaran dan melindungi ekosistem.
Usaha akademik saya bukan hanya terhad kepada penyelidikan; Saya juga melibat dalam pendidikan dan bimbingan. Saya mengutamakan pembelajaran yang menggalakkan pemikiran inovatif dan penyelesaian masalah, menyediakan pelajar untuk menyumbang secara berkesan kepada bidang sains nuklear.
Visi ini memacu penerokaan berterusan saya tentang struktur dan teknologi nuklear, bertujuan untuk membuka kunci pengetahuan dan aplikasi baharu yang boleh memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat. Dengan menyepadukan penyelidikan saintifik dengan penyelesaian praktikal, saya komited untuk memajukan bidang sains nuklear dan memanfaatkan potensinya untuk memberi impak yang besar kepada masyarakat kita.
Beginning my career in nuclear science in 2006, I have been deeply committed to the field. In 2022, I was honoured to assume the role of Head of the Nuclear Technology Research Centre at the National University of Malaysia, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey. My work covers a broad spectrum of research interests that span from the theoretical underpinnings of nuclear phenomena to practical applications in environmental protection and public health. My work encompasses the detailed study of neutron activation analysis, emphasizing the precision of k0 and k1 methods, and reactor technology, with a focus on optimizing neutron flux parameters.
The scope of my research also extends deeply into environmental science, where I assess the radiological impact of nuclear technologies and strategize on the management of both heavy metal and radioactive waste. This includes tackling the challenges posed by oil sludge, fly ashes, naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM), and technologically enhanced NORM (TENORM), with the aim of minimizing their environmental footprint. In addition, my studies on toxic and hazardous waste underscore a commitment to mitigating pollution and safeguarding ecosystems.
My academic pursuits are not just confined to research; I am deeply invested in the education and mentorship of upcoming scientists. I prioritize cultivating a learning environment that encourages innovative thinking and problem-solving, preparing students to contribute effectively to the field of nuclear science.
This vision drives my continuous exploration of nuclear structure and technology, aiming to unlock new knowledge and applications that can benefit society.
