Dari tanah, air ke udara - itulah bidang Mikrobiologi Persekitaran yang menjadi fokus penyelidikan Dr. Aida, yang bertekad mencari penyelesaian inovatif terhadap cabaran pencemaran global. Berbekal ijazah sarjana muda dari UKM dan PhD dari Dublin, Ireland, beliau kini mengetuai penyelidikan perintis dalam bidang biosurfaktan - sebatian semula jadi yang berpotensi besar untuk bioremediasi tanah tercemar, sisa hidrokarbon dan plastik, serta berperanan sebagai alternatif agen antimikrob dan kawalan fitopatogen yang berkesan. Mikroorganisma bukan sekadar subjek kajian, tetapi ‘tentera mikroskopik’ yang dilatih strategik untuk memerangi pencemaran dan memulihkan ekosistem yang terjejas. Beliau juga aktif memantau kualiti air dan udara dalaman (IAQ), mencerminkan dedikasi terhadap kesihatan awam. Melalui penyelidikan yang progresif ini, beliau telah menyumbang secara signifikan kepada pembangunan teknologi hijau dan aplikasi bioteknologi yang lestari, memenuhi keperluan kritikal industri dan masyarakat.
