   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Sharifah Nabihah Jaafar is currently an associate professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She is an internationally well-known researcher in the area of biorefinery and bio-materials. She received her bachelor and master degree from UKM and doctor of philosophy in University of Natural Resources and Life Science (BOKU) Austria. In 2017, she was honored with the Young Woman in Science Award (Materials Science), a part of the Venus International Women Awards given by the Venus International Foundation and an Australian-APEC Women Research fellowship. She actively involved as committee member in research activities, administration and community services. Her current focus is to utilize waste materials into high value products such as bio-materials (microspheres) and fine chemicals for sustainable future applications. She believes that the materials science knowledge is very important in development and success of nation.
