   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Chia merupakan seorang Profesor di Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) pada masa ini. Beliau memperoleh Ijazah Sarjana Muda dan Ijazah Doktor Falsafah dalam Sains Bahan dari UKM pada tahun 2003 dan 2008. Penyelidikan beliau memberi tumpuan kepada mensintesis bahan nano logam dan polimer dengan kawalan struktur yang tepat untuk mengubah sifatnya bagi aplikasi tertentu, seperti rawatan air sisa, superkapasitor, dan penghasilan hidrogen. Minat penyelidikan teras beliau termasuk pembangunan bahan nano dan nanokomposit, termasuk struktur nano logam, grafin/grafina oksida, dan nanoselulosa. Beliau telah menerima banyak anugerah atas penyelidikan beliau, termasuk Anugerah Saintis Muda UKM, Anugerah Sains dan Teknologi Pepejal Malaysia, dan Distinguished Lectureship Award daripada Persatuan Kimia Jepun (CSJ). Beliau baru-baru ini dianugerahkan anugerah Top Research Scientist Malaysia.
    Chia is the current a Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He received his Bachelor`s and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science from UKM in 2003 and 2008, respectively. His research focuses on synthesizing metallic and polymer nanomaterials with precise structural control to tailor their properties for specific applications, such as wastewater treatment, supercapacitors, and hydrogen production. His core research interests include the development of nanomaterials and nanocomposites, including metallic nanostructures, graphene/graphene oxide, and nanocellulose. He has received numerous awards for his research, including the UKM Young Scientist Award, the Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Award, and the Chemical Society of Japan Distinguished Lectureship Award. He was recently awarded the Top Research Scientist Malaysia award.
