Biografi/ Biography :
As a Surgeon and Lecturer at the National University of Malaysia (UKM), I integrate clinical excellence with academic leadership to deliver top-tier healthcare. My clinical practice spans a comprehensive spectrum of open and laparoscopic surgeries, alongside diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies (OGDS and Colonoscopy). I oversee comprehensive patient care through specialist outpatient clinics, ward leadership, acute on-call duties, and robust clinical governance and audit initiatives.
In my academic capacity, I am deeply committed to mentoring postgraduate surgical residents and undergraduate medical students. I regularly conduct bedside teaching, coordinate national professional examinations, and organize surgical workshops, earning recognition from the Faculty of Medicine as a trusted supervisor and examiner. I am supervising Undergraduates,Postgraduates and PhD candidates in their clinical and academic learning.
As a researcher, my research is heavily focused on colorectal cancers. I actively procure tumor tissues for biobanking to support future breakthroughs, secure industrial grants for collaborative research, and present at local and international conferences to elevate surgical outcomes.
Driven by a passion for innovation and advancing patient care, my ultimate career aspiration is to be the key opinion leader in Colorectal Surgery, Colorectal cancers and Advanced Minimally Invasive & Robotic Surgery
