   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Kalaivani Chellappan seorang Profesor Madya di Fakulti Kejuruteraan & Alam Bina, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia sejak Nov 2011. Pengkhususan dalam Kejuruteraan Penjagaan Kesihatan. Minat penyelidikan semasa beliau ialah Pemodelan Kejuruteraan Kardiovaskular, Internet Perkara dalam Penjagaan Kesihatan dan Pemodelan & Analitis Data. Beliau memperolehi BEng (Elektrik & Elektronik) pada tahun 1995 dari Universiti Sains Malaysia dan MSc (CompSc) pada tahun 2001 daripada Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Beliau telah dianugerahkan PhD (Kejuruteraan) dari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia pada tahun 2009. Melihat inovasi dan kreativiti dalam pembangunan insan membawa keyakinan dan kepuasan dalam dirinya dan oleh itu beliau telah menumpukan kerjayanya untuk pengajaran dan penyelidikan. Dia sering mengelilingi dirinya dengan belia yang bersemangat dan minat terhadap pengetahuan sebenar untuk melibatkan dan menggalakkan mereka mengenal pasti bakat dalaman mereka. Pengalaman bekerja beliau selama 26 tahun termasuk dalam bidang kejuruteraan di industri dan pendidikan dalam kedua-dua sektor swasta dan awam. Pengetahuan holistik dalam pengurusan, teknologi kejuruteraan, penjagaan kesihatan dan ICT memberinya peluang untuk menjadi kreatif dalam menyokong organisasi merealisasikan pemerkasaan sains moden. Kepakaran beliau tidak terhad kepada perkara di atas sahaja kerana beliau sangat berminat untuk memupuk bakat manusia oleh itu latihan, bimbingan dan tunjuk ajar adalah bahagian penting dalam aktiviti harian beliau. Pembinaan bakat dan pemerkasaan pengurusan melalui pengetahuan yang mampan adalah nilai teras yang tertanam dalam semua penyampaian projeknya.
    Kalaivani Chellappan an Associate Professor in Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia since Nov 2011. Specializes in Healthcare Engineering. Her current research interests are Cardiovascular Engineering Modeling, Internet of Things in Healthcare and Data Modeling & Analytics. She obtained her BEng (Electrical & Electronics) in 1995 for Universiti Sains Malaysia and MSc (CompSc) in 2001 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She was conferred a PhD (Engineering) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2009. Seeing innovation and creativity in human development brings excitement and satisfaction in her and as such she has devoted her life to teaching and research. She often surrounds herself with youth who are passionate towards true knowledge in order to engage and encourage them towards identifying their inner talent. Her working experience over 29 years includes engineering and education in both private and public sectors. A holistic knowledge in management, engineering technology, healthcare and IT provides her the opportunity to be creative in supporting organizations to realize the modern empowerment science. Her expertise not limited only to the above as she is passionate above nurturing human talent therefore training, coaching and mentoring are vital part of her daily activities. Talent building and management empowerment through sustainable knowledge are the core values imbedded in all her project deliveries.
