   Biografi/ Biography :


  • Dr. Anis binti Azmi is an academician and researcher specializing in structural timber engineering. She holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from UiTM Pahang, where she qualified for the Program Penerapan, allowing her to directly pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. She later completed her Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering at UiTM Shah Alam before embarking on her Doctoral studies in Timber Engineering in 2015, successfully obtaining her Ph.D. in January 2020. Dr. Anis began her academic career in February 2020 as a part time-full time lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam. Following the completion of her contract at UiTM, she further expanded her expertise by working as a research assistant and post-doctoral researcher, engaging in collaborative research with various government agencies and industry players. Then, she continues to serve as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and IT at MAHSA University until May 2024. Her research focuses on structural timber engineering, where she actively collaborates with industry partners and fellow researchers from various universities. She has also been involved in international collaborations, notably with the European Committee, contributing to the development of mechanical strength data for Malaysian timber to support the formulation of Malaysian standards. Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Anis is also engaged in consultancy work, leveraging her expertise to bridge academia and industry. She currently serves as a senior lecturer at Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where she continues to teach while furthering her contributions to timber engineering and structures and materials research and development.
