Dr. Aziemah Abd Rashid ialah seorang pakar dalam bidang Kejuruteraan Sumber Air dan Alam Sekitar, dengan lebih 13 tahun pengalaman dalam pendidikan, penyelidikan, dan pembangunan komuniti. Beliau kini berkhidmat sebagai Pensyarah Kanan di Fakulti Kejuruteraan dan Alam Bina, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Dr. Aziemah memperoleh Ijazah Doktor Falsafah (PhD) dari Universiti Sains Malaysia, dengan kepakaran dalam penapisan tebing sungai, hidrologi, dan teknologi rawatan air yang mampan.
Sepanjang kerjaya akademik dan penyelidikannya, beliau telah menghasilkan pelbagai penerbitan berindeks, bab buku ilmiah, serta membentangkan hasil kajian di persidangan antarabangsa. Beliau mencatatkan H-index sebanyak 4 dan i10-index sebanyak 3, dengan lebih 74 sitasi setakat ini. Dr. Aziemah turut terlibat secara aktif dalam projek penyelidikan dan pemindahan ilmu bersama UNESCO, institusi pengajian tinggi, dan agensi kerajaan, khususnya dalam analisis mikrobiologi air dan pendekatan bersepadu terhadap keselamatan sumber air.
Sebagai seorang inovator, Dr. Aziemah telah mereka bentuk sistem penapisan tebing sungai untuk rawatan air minuman, mengintegrasikan analisis mikrobiologi dalam reka bentuk sistem rawatan, dan membangunkan kaedah pengajaran teknikal yang bersifat visual dan interaktif. Beliau juga menganjurkan bengkel komuniti untuk meningkatkan kesedaran awam tentang keselamatan air dan pengurusan sumber secara lestari.
Dengan pendekatan yang menggabungkan inovasi, kepimpinan, dan empati, Dr. Aziemah terus memainkan peranan penting dalam memperkukuh pengurusan air lestari dan membentuk masa depan kejuruteraan alam sekitar di Malaysia.
Dr. Aziemah Abd Rashid is a seasoned expert in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, with over 13 years of experience in education, research, and community engagement. She currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Dr. Aziemah holds a PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia, specializing in riverbank filtration, hydrology, and sustainable water treatment technologies.
Throughout her academic and research career, she has authored numerous indexed journal articles, scholarly book chapters, and presented at international conferences. She has achieved an H-index of 4, an i10-index of 3, and has accumulated over 74 citations to date. Her research collaborations include projects with UNESCO, universities, and government agencies, focusing on microbiological water analysis and integrated approaches to water safety and resource management.
As an innovator, Dr. Aziemah has designed riverbank filtration systems for drinking water treatment, integrated microbiological analysis into system design, and developed interactive technical teaching materials. She also leads community workshops to promote public awareness on water safety and sustainable resource management.
