Biografi/ Biography :
This research explores alternative sources of stem cells in blood and dental pulp tissue, their potential applications, and the development of biomarkers for various purposes. The findings hold promise for advancing stem cell research and potentially reducing orthodontic treatment time. Notably, dental pulp stem cells as compared to peripheral blood stem cells displayed a higher tendency to become nerve compared to bone cells and cartilage cells. Additionally, studies identified enzyme activity profiles in blood and saliva as potential biomarkers for monitoring bone cell development, tooth movement, and orthodontic treatment progress. Moreover, new, safer methods for cytotoxicity analysis were developed using these stem cells, replacing commonly used cancer cell lines. Beyond these research contributions, also produces numerous publications, awards, and students mentored. Overall, it demonstrates significant potential for advancements in stem cell applications, diagnostics, and potentially improving orthodontic treatment efficiency.
