Profesor Madya Dr. Rosniza Aznie Che Rose merupakan Pensyarah Kanan di Program Geografi, Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan (FSSK), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) dan Adjunct Profesor di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Beliau memiliki kepakaran dalam bidang Geografi Penduduk, Penilaian Impak Alam Sekitar (SIA), Perancangan Bandar dan Wilayah, serta Perancangan Pelancongan. Pengalaman beliau turut merangkumi khidmat profesional sebagai Pegawai Perancang Bandar di AJM Planning and Urban Design Group (AJM PUDG), dengan peranan penting dalam pembangunan indikator pembolehubah penentu bagi kajian impak sosial dan alam sekitar.
Komitmen beliau terhadap pendidikan terserlah melalui pengajaran lebih sepuluh kursus merentas pelbagai subdisiplin di FSSK, UKM, selain turut berperanan sebagai Penyedia dan Penilai Laporan Penilaian Impak Sosial yang berdaftar dengan PLANMalaysia. Beliau juga merupakan Pakar Rujuk Manual Penilaian Impak Keluarga yang dibangunkan oleh LPPKN dan KPWKM pada tahun 2019. Di samping kecemerlangan akademik, beliau telah menerima pelbagai anugerah termasuk Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) dan pengiktirafan dalam pelaporan MyRA secara konsisten dari tahun 2015 hingga 2025. Pada peringkat nasional dan antarabangsa, beliau telah dicalonkan untuk Anugerah Tokoh Akademik Bahasa Melayu oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT) bagi tahun 2023 dan 2024, serta pencalonan ke UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education pada tahun 2023.
Di UKM, beliau diiktiraf sebagai Tokoh Bitara Bahasa Melayu (Akademik), mencerminkan sumbangannya yang signifikan dalam memperkasa penggunaan bahasa ibunda dalam bidang ilmiah. Selain itu, beliau giat menghasilkan penerbitan ilmiah dalam bentuk artikel jurnal berindeks, buku akademik serta modul pembelajaran yang digunakan di peringkat universiti. Associate Professor Dr. Rosniza Aznie Che Rose, PhD (Dr. Aznie) is a Senior Lecturer at the Geography Programme, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and an Adjunct Professor at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Her academic expertise spans Population Geography, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Urban and Regional Planning, and Tourism Planning. She has also served as a Town Planning Officer at AJM Planning and Urban Design Group (AJM PUDG), where she played a key role in developing key variable indicators for social and environmental impact studies.
Her dedication to education is reflected in her active involvement in teaching more than ten courses across various subfields at UKM. She is a Registered Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Practitioner and Evaluator with PLANMalaysia and was appointed as an Expert Consultant for the Family Impact Assessment Manual developed by LPPKN and the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) in 2019. Her academic excellence has earned her multiple awards, including consistent recognition in the national MyRA research assessment and the Excellent Service Award (APC) from 2015 to 2025. Nationally and globally, she was nominated for the Malaysian Academic Figure in Malay Language Award by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) in 2023 and 2024, and the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education in 2023.
At UKM, she is recognized as the Bitara Malay Language Scholar (Academic) for her outstanding contributions to promoting the use of Malay in academia. She is also an active scholar, having published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, and educational modules. With a strong commitment to knowledge advancement, language empowerment, and sustainable development, she continues to make meaningful contributions to the academic landscape in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia.
