Biografi/ Biography :
Mohd Helmy Mokhtar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu in 2011 and completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology at the University of Malaya in 2016. He currently serves as Deputy Director (Postgraduate Competency and Promotion) at the Centre for Academic Management, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His research expertise is in reproductive physiology, with a particular focus on the female reproductive system. His current work investigates the effects of testosterone on endometrial receptivity as well as the therapeutic potential of honey in managing postmenopausal symptoms and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), contributing to the growing body of translational and evidence-based reproductive health research. In addition to his academic and research roles, he is actively involved in professional societies at both national and regional levels. He serves as the Honorary Secretary of the Malaysian Society of Pharmacology and Physiology (MSPP) and Secretary of the Education Mission Operations Committee of the Federation of Asian and Oceanian Physiological Societies (FAOPS), reflecting his strong commitment to advancing physiology education and research nationally and internationally.
