Biografi/ Biography :
Dr Mohd Faizal Bin Ahmad adalah pakar klinikal dan pensyarah Pakar Obstetrik & Ginekologi di Hospital Canselor Tunku Mukhriz Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HCTM UKM), yang mengkhusus dalam Reproduktif Endokrinologi & Oncofertility. Dia memperoleh MD dari UPM dan DrObGyn dari UKM. Dia kemudiannya mengembangkan subspesialisasi dalam Reproduktif Endokrinologi di UKM dan Fellowship of Oncofertility di St Marianna School of Medicine University, Kawasaki, Jepun. Dia kini bertugas sebagai salah satu pakar pembiakan di Pusat Reproduktif Lanjutan (ARC) HCTM UKM. Dia mempunyai minat tertentu dalam endometriosis. Selain perubatan pembiakan, dia juga meminati bidang onkofertilitas. Pada tahun 2019, dia memulakan perkhidmatan oncofertility di bawah ARC dengan menguruskan pemeliharaan kesuburan (FP) untuk kes onkologi. Pada masa ini, ARC menawarkan pembekuan sperma, oosit dan kriopreservasi embrio untuk kelangsungan hidup kanser prognosis yang baik. Selepas itu, dia melanjutkan persahabatannya dalam onkofertilitas di bawah Asian Society of Fertility Preservation (ASFP) di Jepun, melanjutkan pelajarannya dalam kriobiologi pembiakan, terutamanya In-vitro Maturation (IVM) dan Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation (OTC). Dia memperoleh kelayakan dalam IVM & OTC dan kini memulakan perkhidmatan ini di bawah ARC sebagai sebahagian daripada perkhidmatan oncofertility. Dia kini bertugas sebagai Wakil Malaysia (Ahli Lembaga) Persatuan Pemeliharaan Kesuburan Asia (ASFP) dan Wakil presiden Persatuan Pemeliharaan Kesuburan Malaysia (MSFP).
Dr Mohd Faizal Bin Ahmad is a clinical specialist and lecturer of Obstetrician & Gynaecology in Hospital Canselor Tunku Mukhriz Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HCTM UKM), specializing in Reproductive Endocrinology & Oncofertility. He obtained his MD from UPM and DrObGyn from UKM. He subsequently furthers his subspecialty in Reproductive Endocrinology in UKM and Fellowship of Oncofertility in St Marianna School of Medicine University, Kawasaki, Japan He currently served as one of the reproductive specialists in Advanced Reproductive Center (ARC) HCTM UKM. He had a particular interest in endometriosis. In addition to reproductive medicine, he is also interested in the oncofertility field. In 2019, he initiated the oncofertility services under ARC by managing fertility preservation (FP) for oncology cases. Currently, ARC is offering sperm freezing, oocytes and embryo cryopreservation for good prognosis cancer survival. Subsequently, he pursues his fellowship in oncofertility under the Asian Society of Fertility Preservation (ASFP) in Japan, furthering his study in reproductive cryobiology, mainly the In-vitro Maturation (IVM) and Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation (OTC). He obtained the credentialing in IVM & OTC and currently initiated these services under ARC as part of oncofertility services. He currently serves as Malaysian Representative (Board Member) of the Asian Society of Fertility Preservation (ASFP) and Vice president of the Malaysian Society of Fertility Preservation (MSFP).
