Dr. Lim Kar Keng (KK) merupakan seorang ahli akademik multidisiplin yang mengintegrasikan sains bahan dan sosioteknologi melalui pendekatan interdisipliner berlandaskan kerangka Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan (SDG). Ekosistem penyelidikan Dr. KK bersifat holistik, merangkumi fasa pembangunan teknikal di makmal, khususnya kajian semikonduktor berasaskan filem nipis bagi mengoptimumkan aplikasi peranti elektrik dan elektronik (E&E), sehinggalah kepada penilaian impaknya terhadap masyarakat. Penyelidikan Dr. KK juga merentasi kajian sains sosial dengan mengintegrasikan penilaian sosioteknologi yang memfokuskan kepada dinamika penerimaan teknologi dan literasi tenaga, bagi memastikan setiap inovasi yang dibangunkan bukan sahaja berprestasi tinggi, malah relevan, lestari, dan dimanfaatkan secara berkesan oleh komuniti. Berkelulusan Ijazah Doktor Falsafah (PhD) dan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Kepujian dalam Sains Bahan dari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), beliau kini berkhidmat sebagai Pensyarah Kanan di Pusat Pengajian Citra Universiti (Citra UKM) serta memegang mandat sebagai Timbalan Pengarah Eksekutif (Prestasi & Penarafan) di Pusat Strategi UKM bagi memacu pembangunan akademik, penarafan, dan pengukuhan ekosistem strategik universiti.
Dr. Lim Kar Keng (KK) is a multidisciplinary academic who integrates materials science and sociotechnology through an interdisciplinary approach grounded in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) framework. Dr. KK`s research ecosystem is holistic, encompassing the technical development phase in the laboratory, specifically the study of thin-film semiconductors to optimize electrical and electronics (E&E) device applications, through to the assessment of its impact on society. Dr. KK`s research also extends into the social sciences by integrating sociotechnological assessments focused on the dynamics of technology acceptance and energy literacy, ensuring that every innovation developed is not only high-performing but also relevant, sustainable, and effectively utilized by the community. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Materials Science) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), he currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Liberal Studies (Citra UKM) and holds the mandate as the Deputy Executive Director (Performance & Rating) at the UKM Strategy Centre to drive academic development, institutional rankings, and the strengthening of the university`s strategic ecosystem.
