Dr. Suziana Hassan is a lecturer at the Center for Sustainable and Inclusive Development at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She earned her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr.Suziana specializes in Natural Resource and Applied Economics, with a particular focus on applying the Choice Experiment Method in economic modeling to inform policy and decision-making.
Her current research interests include the economic valuation of ecotourism, natural resources, renewable energy, climate change, and biodiversity conservation, contributing to sustainable management practices and conservation strategies. Dr. Suziana’s current interest on explores the economic dimensions of climate change and renewable energy, aiming to develop innovative solutions that enhance environmental resilience, promote sustainable energy transitions, and support biodiversity preservation.
Dr. Suziana is actively involved in advancing the field through impactful scientific publications, research supervision, and teaching. She has successfully supervised numerous Ph.D. and Master of Science students in these disciplines, nurturing the next generation of researchers and professionals.
