Biografi/ Biography :
My primary research interests lie in substance use disorder (SUD), with a specific emphasis on gaining a contextual understanding of the narratives of individuals in recovery from SUD. Additionally, I have firsthand experience examining the effectiveness of healthy relationship-focused education interventions aimed at preventing dating violence perpetration among at-risk youth in Long Island, New York. Drawing from a robust background in forensic social work, I`ve had the privilege of serving diverse clients across various international locations, spanning from New York and Michigan in the United States to Malaysia. This extensive exposure has provided me with the opportunity to engage with a broad spectrum of individuals, including those in recovery from substance use disorder (SUD), survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV), at-risk youth, and people living with HIV/AIDS. In recognition of my dedication and achievements, I was honored with the PhD Student Award from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) in 2016.
