Dr. Nantha Kumar Jeyaprakasam is a senior lecturer in Biomedical Science programme under Center for Toxicology and Health Risk studies (CORE), Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2012 while his master’s degree in Health Science (Biomedical Science) majoring in infectious diseases from the same university in 2014. He had completed his PhD with distinction and GOT from Universiti Malaya (UM) in the field of parasitology and medical entomology in 2022. His current research interests include understanding the entomological parameters of the mosquito vectors, evaluating the efficiency of trapping methods for entomological surveillance, gene characterization of the zoonotic simian Plasmodium and identifying potential control and prevention measures for knowlesi malaria.
