  • Dr. Ricky Anak Kemarau ialah seorang penyelidik geospatial dan ahli akademik dalam bidang Geografi, Penderiaan Jauh (Remote Sensing) dan Sains Bumi. Beliau memiliki Ijazah Doktor Falsafah (PhD) dalam Sains Bumi dari Universiti Malaysia Sabah dengan Anugerah Graduated On Time (GOT), Ijazah Sarjana Sains (MSc) dalam Penderiaan Jauh dari Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, serta Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains Sosial (Kepujian) dalam Geografi dari Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Beliau telah menerbitkan artikel-artikel dalam jurnal berimpak tinggi berkaitan GIS, penderiaan jauh, perubahan iklim dan pemantauan alam sekitar. Dr. Ricky diiktiraf sebagai Pakar Geospatial (Gs) oleh Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM), serta telah lulus pensijilan Perunding Penilaian Impak Alam Sekitar (EIA) dan berdaftar sebagai Pegawai Perlindungan Sinaran (RPO). Dengan lebih 13 tahun pengalaman industri dalam teknologi LIDAR, ujian tanpa musnah (NDT) dan keselamatan sinaran, beliau kini berkhidmat di Institut Perubahan Iklim dengan tumpuan terhadap penyesuaian perubahan iklim, analisis spatial dan pengurusan alam sekitar mampan. Dr. Ricky amat mengalu-alukan kerjasama penyelidikan antara akademia dan industri dalam perubahan iklim, geospatial dan kelestarian alam sekitar
    Dr. Ricky Anak Kemarau is a geospatial scientist and academic specializing in Geography, Remote Sensing, and Earth Science. He holds a PhD in Earth Science from Universiti Malaysia Sabah, where he received the Graduated On Time (GOT) Award, an MSc in Remote Sensing from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and a B.Soc.Sc. (Hons) in Geography from Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He has published numerous papers in high-impact journals on GIS, remote sensing, climate change, and environmental monitoring. A recognized Geospatial (Gs) Specialist by IGRSM, Dr. Ricky has also passed the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Consultant certification and is a certified Radiation Protection Officer (RPO). With over 13 years of industry experience in LIDAR applications, NDT, and radiation safety, he now serves at the Institute of Climate Change, focusing on climate change adaptation, spatial analysis, and sustainable environmental management. Dr. Ricky welcomes collaboration opportunities across academia and industry to advance geospatial, environmental and climate change research.
