Prof. Madya Dr. Shahrizan Baharom ialah ahli akademik dan penyelidik dalam bidang kejuruteraan struktur dan komposit di Fakulti Kejuruteraan dan Alam Bina, UKM. Beliau berkelulusan Ijazah Kedoktoran (Ph.D.) dalam Kejuruteraan Komposit dari University of Wales, Swansea (UK) dan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Kejuruteraan Awam dari UKM. Penyelidikan beliau meliputi sistem komposit keluli–konkrit, tingkah laku struktur dalam keadaan ekstrem, bahan binaan mampan dan inovatif, serta solusi kejuruteraan infrastruktur. Beliau mengetuai pelbagai projek penyelidikan dalam bidang IBS, sistem dinding ricih, dan pemodelan prestasi struktur. Dr. Shahrizan kini memegang jawatan Ketua Program Kejuruteraan Awam dan merupakan ahli pusat penyelidikan Smart and Sustainable Township UKM.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shahrizan Baharom is an academic and researcher in structural and composite engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He holds a Ph.D. in Composite Engineering from the University of Wales, Swansea (UK), and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from UKM. His research focuses on steel–concrete composite systems, structural behavior under extreme conditions, sustainable construction materials, and infrastructure solutions. He has led and participated in numerous national and international research projects, especially in the fields of industrialized building systems (IBS), shear wall design, and structural modeling. Dr. Shahrizan has published extensively and is actively involved in advancing engineering education and practice. He currently serves as the Head of the Civil Engineering Programme and is affiliated with UKM’s Smart and Sustainable Township Research Centre.
