   Biografi/ Biography :

  • Ashinida Aladdin is a Associate Professor of Arabic Language Studies and Linguistics at the Faculty of social Sciences and Humanities, UKM. She graduated from the Faculte de Lettres, Universite Muhammad el-Khamis, Rabat Morocco in Arabic Linguistics. She obtained her Master degree in Modern Languages Study (Arabic Language and Linguistics) at University of Malaya. Ashinida also pursued her MLitt in Islamicjerusalem Studies and completed her PhD in Arabic Language Studies both at University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom. Her research interest area includes teaching Arabic as a second language, educational psychology in second language learning, Arabic pragmatics, semantics and grammar as well as translation. She also involved in research related to women empowerment with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. Ashinida involves actively in presenting research papers in conferences at national and international level in her area of expertise. Ashinida has published extensively in indexed journals namely WoS (ESCI), Scopus, ERA as well as referred journals. She has also served as reviewer for national and international journals. On top of that she is enthusiastically engages and appointed as an advisor of Dewan Saudara Kita (Muallaf) under Majlis Dakwah Negara.
